Future Memories
Future Memories is an ode to brutalist architecture, decorative functionality, and imagined memories. It’s a city created at the intersection between the imagination of Antonio Sant’Elia, the Italian Futurist architect from the 1960s and the visionary world of Italo Calvino’s “Invisible Cities.” Made out of oxidized concrete, the pieces naturally create rust allowing them to continue to tell a story as days pass. Each piece in the collection is named after a place visited by Marco Polo, Calvino’s hero. Future Memories is an imagined future inspired by the fantastic stories of the past.
